| We had 3 girls in Maybelline’s litter. She was the one the pup that always caught our eye. We usually nickname the pups by some sort of distinguishing marking or feature, heavy marked girl, black tailed boy, etc. When she was about 3 days old I said something to my oldest daughter Samantha about one of the pups and when she asked which one I said the little glamour girl. She responded with "oh, the one with all of the eye makeup. From that point on she was known as "Eye Make-up Girl."When we were trying to come up with a name for her we were having a difficult time all agreeing on a name and I really wanted to stick with the make-up theme but couldn’t come up with a call name and a registered name that we all liked. One night while driving with my husband I was mentioning the name problem and said I liked the name Maybelline he started singing the song, "Oh Maybelline" and that’s how she became Maybelline –Ohana’s Why Can’t U Be True? |
